Definition of Yoga

Yoga is an ancient art based on a harmonizing system of development for the body, mind, and spirit. The continued practice of yoga will lead you to a sense of peace and well-being, and also a feeling of being at one with their environment. The practice of yoga makes the body strong and flexible, it also improves the functioning of the respiratory, circulatory, digestive, and hormonal systems. Yoga brings about emotional stability and clarity of mind.

Vinyasa Flow:

Here at Bodhi J, our teachers each deliver their own unique teachings of a vinyasa flow class - incorporating a variety of poses to warm, stretch, strengthen, tone and flex the body, challenging every student, within their own limits.

Power Flow:

Power Flow  draws inspiration from traditional yoga lineages (such as Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga) taking you through a series of static postures and flowing Vinyasa in a safe and thoughtful manner. It offers a detoxifying, cleansing and healing sequence that will flush unwanted toxins from the body. This practice will stimulate both the endocrine and nervous system, helping the body to relax, while teaching you to breathe more deeply.

During class you will build overall strength in every muscle group and work deeper into all postures, increasing flexibility. With ongoing regular practice you may feel happier, experience deeper sleep and live your life with more energy and vitality!

Whilst Power yoga energizes and clarifies us, Yin yoga centers and rejuvenates us; integrated into a flowing practice, they create a strong and flexible body and a calm mind. Yang flow styles of yoga target the muscles, cardio vascular system, and generally employ rhythmic repetitive movements to stress the fibers and cells of the muscles. Being elastic and moist, the muscles appreciate this form of exercise. Whereas Yin yoga is a centering, quiet practice and focuses on the body's connective tissue. Both forms practiced together are a perfect blend.


Looking for a restful and quiet yoga class that cultivates peace of mind and a healthy body?

In this class, poses will be focused on passive stretching with longer holds. Prepare to be supported with props supported such as bolsters to allow for a deep release and nurturing experience. You will have the opportunity to cultivate a meaningful connection between breath and body.

Yin Yoga promotes healthy joints, strengthens the immune system and supports good digestion as it move us away from the stress response (fight or flight) towards a place of rest and digest. Yin is the perfect balance to an active lifestyle and completely safe for all stages of pregnancy.

All levels are welcome, including beginners.

Restorative / Gentle Hatha Class:

Experience a slow paced, gentle and potent yoga practice. Incorporating the use of props and accompanied by demonstrations, clear instructions and individual attention. All movements and postures are aimed at healing and nourishing the body.

You will have the opportunity to cultivate a meaningful connection between breath and body, experience a lengthening of your muscles, lubricate joints creating a greater range of motion and increase your body strength without force or strain.

Benefits include resetting your nervous system, creating space and lightness in the body, reduce aging process, supports injuries and health conditions with kindness. We also invoke our natural relaxation response to bring our bodies into a state of peace, calm and healing.
